Touchdown!

Well folks, here I am.  I landed here in Beijing about 2 1/2 hours ago, and with no trouble at the airport, headed into town.  I did end up getting overcharged by my fake taxi, but really that's my own fault.  I should've said no when we walked right past the huge line up of obviously marked taxi's and continued to the parking garage and down an elevator.   As I recall, I believe Rheanne and I made the same mistake upon our arrival in Bangkok 5 years ago.  One day I'll learn...

So now I'm here at my hostel for the night, the Inner City Hostel in the Xi Cheng district of Beijing.  It's nice enough; shared western style toilets, free wifi and air conditioning.  Tomorrow I'll move over to the Happy Dragon Hostel in the Dong Cheng district where I should be able to meet up with some of my fellow TEFLers!!!
