Forty odd days to go...

Hey everyone, I am currently working my way through Checkpoint Four and I am still doing the Online TEFL Course - I have started the Specialist Modules but I cannot finish them until I have completed the OTC; oh well! I will get through it.

I would have never thought it would have been so difficult to do this TEFL course; I have extended it twice (150 days in total) and I am still no where near - I would reconmend not working at the same time as doing this course. I just wish that I had had internet access during the summer; I would have spent more time online doing the course.

I WILL complete this course; as my job here in the UK is not going so well. There has been aissue with our pay; which I did not realise would be this drastic! We will know more by the 18th October; so I need to get myself teaching abroad - a dream I have had for a while now!

Where should I go? China? Japan? Europe? What do you all think? Feel free to let me know...

Hi Jemma,
I am half-way through the CP3 at the moment, going ok, but a bit difficult!!! Allthough I was made redundant, I am working for myself as a Painter & Decorator (www.brushwithflair.co.uk) got a few jobs, but they are beginning to tail off. Hoping to finish the course then go to Italy where (hopefully) there is a job waiting for me there!!!
Take care
Mick

Hi Jemma,

I totally agree with you... im doing CP3 at the moment and i work full time as a property manager in real estate so early morning late nights and weekends !!!

How did you go on CP3? Im struggling a little !!

Hi Jemma,
I know what you mean, I am currently on checkpoint 3 of the 120 hour course. I was made redundant from my Marketing job some time ago. So now I am gradually getting to the end of my course and then off to Italy to start a new life!!
I do not blame you for starting the TEFL course, because its a great key to open-up your future, and hopefully you will find a great, rewarding job.
Take care and carry on!!!
Mick.
