I have been re-reading the China/Japan information e-books...one said that I must have £2,500 in the bank before I head off there! I am wondering how you saved that much?

I'm busy saving as much as I can to head to South Korea... must admit it's hard trying to gauge how much to take! I've had a friend of mine claim that everything is cheap as chips out there and then another who says that Seoul is crazily expensive. I'm guessing it's going to be quite drastically different based on which city/town/location you end up in...
Presumably China and Japan will be much the same. I don't know if it would be fair to assume that it would be possible to get by on the salary you are paid?
As far as how I saved it up... I have been working my nuts off for the last year; wish there was some other way. I should have banked some of the student loan instead of going out so much at uni. Wish I had some better advice with regards saving; but its a case of knuckling down or just waiting for those six numbers to come up on Saturdays lottery!!?! :-S
Not sure which information e-book you are referring to. Some agencies might ask for that but definitely not every agent asks for that! Let me know if you need help getting a placement in East China.
