Progress

Ok after recieving a job invitation via Gaijinpot for a job I never applied for lol I have consequently recieved an interview tomorrow  morning at 11am (Japan time obv) in Kawaguchi. It's with ABC (British Culture Academy) sort of kids pre-school kindergarten anything from 3-12 I believe. Full time but not sure which job they are thinking of and how much pay is but it's worth trying for as the experience and getting started would be great. I have my suit all ready anyway but i'm starting to panic now as I don't remember all the stuff from the online course lol aaargh what if they ask questions hehe. If anyone has any little tips or useful stuff for Japan interviews would be cool, although the guy is actually English so fingers crossed.

Thats cool I appreciate everyones input as my knowledge is limited. I havn't been able to find much about alot of schools to be honest so it's difficult. I will try and check this before I go anyway and I do have questions and conditions before I could accept the job. I was also very concerned when someone contacted me without checking it does sound to me also a little desperate so I am very aware of the situation and will be as observant as I can be,saying that i'm not in an overly picky situation so not sure if the experience would be worth it.All in all i'm still excited to be at least involved in jobs at the moment as thats something I look forward to :D I will keep you updated on my progress tomorrow and what I could see.

Hi there,

Not to rain on your parade, but 'good' schools do not offer interviews to (inexperienced and under-qualified) candidates who never even applied. If employers are having to trawl through CVs or jobs wanted posts, ask yourself why.

By all means go to the interview, but be wary of jumping to sign on the dotted line. If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. Although if the posts on Dave's ESL Cafe are anything to go by, very little about this particular school sounds good.
