Japan

Sat in the airport lounge at Heathrow waiting for my one way flight, I guess this is where the journey really starts.Next step of the journey to find  a teaching job and immerse myself into japanese culture.Looking forward to actually seeing and living with my wife and little boy again, perhaps my teaching should start there first :)

Hia Erin I am living in Kazo,Saitama couple of hours away from Tokyo. It's really nice here though and theres no other gaijin really (foreigner) around these immediate parts.I havn't been able to apply for work just yet,I went to the ward office today to apply for my alien registration card so thats a couple of weeks. Also need to get my own bank account at some point too,but hopefully I can work around Kazo or Omiya sort of area. There were a few jobs in Koshigaya and plces similar in distance so it's looking positive. My son had his initiation into his kindergarten/school today,it's a massive thing here in Japan with the kids in all their smart and kawaii :D uniforms.Even myself and the missus had to be all suited up.It was a really unique and amazing experience though, all the teachers/classroom attendants out on a play and did some songs.I will try and get some pictures up if I can soon for people to see.

I will keep things updated as I go especially in terms of work, this is the one thing I want to be doing as soon as possible really.

How exciting!
Which part of Japan will you be living/teaching in?

I can't wait to hear all about it!
