Hey Jade, How goes it?

Just wondering if you tried out the local Mandarin classes in Birmingham yet? I'll be heading back to Shrewsbury at the end of the month so wondering if they were worth it or not.

Yea, I had to extend it in the end, as they were taking a while to mark assignments, blah blah! So now can breath for a little while, on module 12 on the main bit then need to do the assignments on the small sections! So many things on there especially on the grammar section that im sure I was never taught at school!  O wow, Bali, very lucky to have family there! I was meant to go there a few years back with my mom, but we never got around to it! That would be good, to travel with people we get to know, as I think the main reason I booked this internship was that I was a little afraid of going on my own until I got to grips with being away! Ideally I would like to travel around Asia, South America and maybe Africa, but I love Asia so ideally I want to be in Thailand as I went two years ago and just fell in love! They seemed pretty confident on the telephone that as long as were not secretly serial killers we should be fine lol! But I hate waiting so im sure once mine is sent off tomorrow ill be on edge every day! Did you have to have a telephone interview? Nope will be my first time teaching, have opted for small children to start me off as well ... How about you?

Ahh, deadlines hurtling towards you - the best motivator in the world!  I'm planning to travel a bit afterwards too.  Not sure where exactly - I'd love to see the orangutan in Borneo and I'm looking into getting a bit of work in Bali so that I can spend a bit of time with family members there.  Otherwise, I was going to get inspired by some of the other people on the internship and see if I fancied tagging along with any of them! Some of us are considering meeting up in other countries afterwards.  Like you, I'll have to work my way around, so it may just be a case of where there's a job, there I'll be!

As to your application pack, you need to email it into them.  Which will mean that you need to scan things like your passport etc so it can be sent electronically.  Good luck, hope you get accepted.  I sent mine in 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything.  Have checked that they got it, which they did.  Getting a bit nervous now!

Yea, was just sheer determination and also the fact I left it soooo late and only had a few days left to do it, so just had to solider through it! If you need any help with them I can try!! Im planning on going after and work my way around ... Not enough time to save enough money before, although that would be great! How about you? Where about are you hoping to go? Im just about to send my application pack off tomorrow ... Do you know if I have to post or if I can e-mail it? x

Hi Jade, I've also booked onto the August China Internship but am still awaiting confirmation that I've been accepted.  Still got lots of my TEFL course left to do - motivation drifted off at Module 3 but I will get back to it.  So well done on almost reaching the end of yours.  Are you planning to go travelling before or after the internship?
