What are you doing at the moment?
At the moment I'm self employed, I manage the properties my mum has in USA and UK. Prior to this I was an Aesthetic Therapist, working for a company called Skins in Harley street London.

What attracted you to the China Internship?
My mum found the i-to-i website and forwarded it to me, and I just thought it was great great opportunity to travel and do something new and different.

What are you most excited about?
I'm mos5t excited a learning about the culture, I have always wanted to go to China as i think it's a beautiful country with so much to offer.

What do you hope to get out of the experience?
I hope that this experience will teach me a lot more about other cultures and their way off life, plus I will get to meet new amazing people.

Random fact about yourself:

I'm originally from Brazil, I'm a bit of a clean freak, mess bothers me. The weirdest thing about me is my LOVE for horror films and I love scary thing, I toured Edinburgh and London most haunted sites. I LOVE travelling, And Barcelona is my favorite City in the world.

What attracted you to the China Internship?
The help that is provided. I knew I wanted to get my TEFL certification and I didn't care where really. But when I was looking into TEFL, I knew it was a done deal when i-to-i offered assistance with most of the process and the fact that you get 6 months of experience at the end!

What are you most excited about?

I was most excited about the location. I had just taken a class in Ancient Chinese History and I was thrilled about the opportunity to actually go and see what I had been studying.

What do you hope to get out of the experience?

Obviously, I hope to get experience teaching out of this experience, but I also am hoping to gain a better understanding of the Chinese culture, as well as a greater appreciation for my home country along the way!

Random fact about yourself:

I am obsessed with Japan. I plan to head there next!
I am a Psychology major and History minor and plan to become a High School History teacher after I travel the world.
I enjoy many things many people hate: making lists and planing; cleaning and cooking; studying new things; and reading!

What attracted you to the China Internship?

I am currently working as a temporary receoptionist until June where I am travelling across France and Spain with my best friend for 2months before returning for a week to get ready to go to China!

What are you most excited about?

I volunteered in Ghana, West Africa for 3months and it gave me the inspiration to travel more and experience new cultures. China is a stunning and interesting place and I think it will help me to decide whether to go to university and study to be a teacher...

What are you most excited about?

I am most excited about being a real teacher! I know it sounds silly but I can't wait to be called 'Miss'! I want to be the teacher who's class all the children want to be in as I hope my fun lesson plans will be a hit!

What do you hope to get out of the experience?

I hope to gain not only valuable teaching experience, but also to use the experience help me make a decision about where to go next, even if it is that I fall in love with China and decide to stay, or travel more or go further with being a teacher.

Random fact about yourself:

A random fact about myself.... errr, well... I got bitten by a monkey in Africa! Painful yes - but a great 'shocker' story nonetheless!

Currently I am employed with Amazon.com at one of their fullfillment centers. What interested me most about the internship is the chance to work with people from the world in China. I am most excited about learning more about Chinese culture and meeting new people and hopefully making new friends. What I want to get out of the experience is better teaching knowledge and maybe some TEFL connections. Random fact about myself I am an 8 time marathon winner.

What are you doing at the moment? E.g job just graduated?

I graduated last May from the University of Derby. I studied Sociology and I am considering going into teaching once this internship is over. I am currently working at my parent’s construction company in an administrative position.

What attracted you to the China Internship?

Originally, I had met my cousin's friend who told me about his travels with i-to-i to teach English in Thailand. I had signed up for the May internship with them but this was later cancelled by i-to-i. An alternate offer was the China internship which I was more than happy to change on to.

What are you most excited about?

I am really looking forward to the everyday life which I will get stuck into, being part of a huge cycle of society which is vastly different to anything I have encountered before. To be honest, the idea of actually teaching people is terrifying! But I am reassuring myself that it is natural and the experience will be so rewarding that I won't want to come back to DUNSTABLE!!

What do you hope to get out of the experience?

I am hoping to gain more experience talking to people in a formal manner. I have been volunteering at several primary schools since last October to gain some sort of experience talking to/teaching young learners but I still feel that I am a novice at this. Further, if the learners are older then I feel that I may get overwhelmed by it all, so I really want to be a commanding presence that I can use in future interviews etc.

Random fact about yourself:

Random fact - I can move my ears. Boom.
