Stop Saving, Start Traveling

Are you desperate to see the world, but find that no matter how much you scrimp and save you simply don’t have enough cash? We’ve got good news! Spending half your life saving is not the only way to immerse yourself in a new culture and experience something that is like nothing back home!

If you’re ready to put a hold to the saving and begin the adventure of your life, here’s the right way to go about it:

You don’t need a fortune to travel the world

Many people these days seem to think that the further away you go, the more it’s going to cost! Well that’s only if you’re planning a luxurious trip in a fancy hotel with spa days out. But then this defeats the whole object of traveling, which is getting out there and experiencing another culture. And trust me; once you’re out there, the scene is priceless! Faraway destinations can often be much cheaper than western countries and getting by isn’t too much of a problem! While finding a job abroad might sound tricky, it’s actually very simple. “But what can I do while I’m working out there” I hear you ask. Allow me to enlighten you…

All you need is a TEFL course

So what in the world is a TEFL course? It’s a qualification which allows you to ‘Teach English as a Foreign Language’! Due to the worldwide demand for English teachers, if you’ve done a TEFL course you can easily pick up teaching work in amazing destinations all over the world.

Your TEFL course can be completed online, right from the comfort of your armchair. Don’t worry, you don’t need to speak another language or have any teaching experience: as a native English speaker even you can get qualified. Getting TEFL certified is very straightforward and can be done at your own pace. You’ll be looking at anywhere up to £400/$600 for the most comprehensive TEFL courses, but you can get certified for as little as £143/$184. Want to find out more? From China to Chile – there’s a world waiting for you

Whether it’s Asia, South America or even Europe, your TEFL course could land you an amazing job nearly anywhere across the globe. You won’t need to be earning massive amounts living in destinations like Ecuador and Chile; where your surroundings are wealthy in natural beauty and tropical wildlife. However if Latin America is not for you, perhaps The Land of Smiles is your kind of thing. Arriving in Thailand feels like being welcomed home with open arms - the reception you’ll get out there is certainly one you can tell stories about!

The money’s not bad either…

Upon taking up your new job as a TEFL teacher, you’ll find that as well as being a very fulfilling experience, it is also financially quite rewarding. Hey, some employers even pay for your flights, visa, and even your accommodation! The budget you’ll be living on won’t seem a lot, but when you’re eating an Ecuadorian meal costing just £1.20, or gulping large beers at only £0.15 in a Chinese bar, how can you complain! On top of that, living abroad can cost as little as £50 to £120 per month, which let’s face it, it is great when you compare it with the West! You could probably even end up coming home with cash in your pocket!

So, when are you going to stop saving and start traveling?

a representative from a tefl course told me that an online course is not as good or accepted as an on site course. Is this true?
