Discover How Far TEFL Took These Adventurous i-to-i Graduates!

We always say TEFL can take you anywhere in the world, but where?! We caught up with a few i-to-i graduates (and Chalkboard members) to discover where their TEFL course took them:

‘I do love the TEFL life…’

Rozel Le Cornu, 25, quit her job in the UK and joined i-to-i’s Teach in China Internship before heading off to work in Mongolia.

'TEFL has given me the freedom to be able to go anywhere I want'

Robert Clarke, 23, ditched his dead-end job, headed to Spain, then Indonesia, where he got engaged, and now teaches in China!

'I love Mexico!'

Jack Little, Since finishing his 120 Hour TEFL Course, 23-year-old Jack Little has winged his way from the UK to Mexico City, finding new challenges (and new loves!) along the way!

"I am living the dream and loving every minute of it!!"

Kate had always been a fan of the Asia and headed to China for her first teaching job.

 

"I'm a legal alien"

Liz, 25 was finding life a little unfulfilling, so she took a TEFL course, left her job, packed her bags and headed for South Korea

'Never in a million years did I imagine myself teaching in Thailand'

22-year-old Jodie Taylor from the UK went from being bedbound after a hip operation to teaching in Thailand

“I would really advise people to teach abroad, I’ve had the best year of my life so far and am looking forward to at least a few more years of teaching in different countries"

Sophie Roberts started out on the teach in China internship, but is now teaching in South Korea and enjoying every minute of it!

"I'm a happy bunny here in Prague, the teaching is good, life here is amazing"

Ian is teaching in the Czech Reublic and is enjoying his new life!

"What an incredible 9 months it has been too!  I'm hooked on traveling and living abroad; it is exactly the kind of adventure I have always craved!"

Jess Watson has been in Thailand for 9 months now and is loving everything about her newl ife in Bangkok.

"Thanks to i-to-i's TEFL course I was able to become an English teacher and work abroad in the incredible country of Japan, which I still say was the best experience of my life so far!"

Carly took her TEFL course and headed to Japan for an amazing adventure. She is now back in the UK and working on the customer support team here at i-to-i!

"It can be a lot of fun"

Ellie teaches business English in Paris, as well as earning some extra money as a private tutor.

"It all happened so quickly, I applied for a job in Taiwan on the Wednesday, got the job on the Saturday and was out here by Thursday"

Sophie headed to Taiwan for her TEFL adventure and is loving her new life there.

"I did my TEFL with i-to-i, booked a flight and came out to Thailand to try my hand at teaching. No regrets at all, best thing I ever did!!”

Gareth Openshaw was fed up of his job in telesales, took a TEFL course then headed to Thailand. He hasn't looked back since!

"My adventure has only just begun. Who knows what will happen now that the world is truly my oyster."

After graduating university Paul Dixon took a TEFL course and headed to Japan. A year on and he's still out there and looking forward to his next teaching job.

"Having been here for nearly 3 months now, I can honestly say that coming here is one of the best decisions that I have ever made!"

Jen Sloan is on the February 2011 Teach in China internship and is loving everything in China so far!

"It wasn't a dream!"

George was in need of a career change, he was introduced to TEFL and a few months later he headed to the Czech Reupblic to teach English!

"I`ll miss the warmth and tactility of the people, the affection of my students, the fun we have together, the satisfaction of their appreciation"

Alix was struggling to make a living as a gardener so she headed to Ecuador. She is almost at the end of her year teaching there and is now looking for opportunties in Spain.

"I would suggest to anyone to come out to Korea and try it for yourself, so far it has been an enjoyable experience!"

Jordon had never been abroad on his own until he headed to South Korea for an adventure of his own!

“Make your own path, don’t rely on fate”

Krishna had got to a point where he didn't know what to do with his life, teaching English abroad provided the perfect opportunity for him to live and work abroad. He is now teaching in South Korea

"It has been such a great experience, and I would full-heartedly encourage anyone to come here and become part of it yourself!"

Stephanie is on the February teach in China internship and is loving everything about China. She is even thinking about staying there for another year.

"The kids make my day, every day! It's not often you find a job where you're told "Teacher! I love you. I will always love you!"

Katya took her TEFL course and headed to Thailand. She had always loved Thailand and teaching English there was the perfect way for her live and work there.

"Coming to Thailand was the best thing I ever did, the people are wonderful, the land is beautiful, the food is positively scrumptiousand the teaching is so much fun"

Emily headed to Thailand just over a year ago and loved everything about her adventure. Next stop on her TEFL adventure is China.
