Vacaciones!

At last! We started the English Centre way back in January and have been working ever since without a break (well oK I managed to 'long weekend' twice - mother's 80th (UK) and my GF's brother's birthday (Belgium)) but it's been a long slog.

We expected things to almost stop once July started as all the locals (ie our students) sloped off to the beach etc. but of course we had forgotten exam results and we were swamped with students needing to do extra work for school. Still what's a 9-hour working day anyway!

From September tjhough we will be operating a 3-term timetable roughly in line with the schools so this next year should give us some personal time.

Sitting here in the Spanish mountains - in total silence except for my grandson's PSP (living in Spain has other advantages such as my family coming out on holiday) - typing this makes me realise why I moved here! Anyone for the pool and a glass of wine.
