no you don't need a degree for Spain, although you can get a better job with one. With my academy there are certain jobs I can do but some I can't - it depends on the client. For a job in a state school or university I think maybe you do need one, not sure about that!
I haven't even got A-levels, just O=levels and some vocational qualificaations in unrelated subjects, and 120 hour TEFL course.
You will need probably 2 years experience, unless you work for Vaughan Systems who prefer unexperienced teachers so that they can train you in their very particular, rather rigid technique.
The better the TEFL/TESOL certificate you can get, the better off you will be. I got a year's experience in Ecuador, a few months voluntary work in the UK, and then worked for a total cowboy when I forst got here. By that time I had 2 year's under my belt and was able to get a better job.
