Hey guys,
I was stuck with tefl checkpoint 3 - questions
6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 33, 34, 37
If anyone knew of these answers any help would be amazing - the lectures comments arent so helpful - my email address asmah.akhtar@gmail.com
Kind regards,
Asmah
Thankyou for your feedback
The answer that i orginally gave was very simular to the answer that shiv91 gave, i think i maybe i focused alittle too much on the counting , and maybe not enough on 'How many.. are there' im going to have another stab at it ;-S
I will try calling after i have completed my new draft , thankyou Katie
Hi there, don't be worrying, 3days is loads of time especially if that's all you have left to do. I just did that checkpoint today and got on ok. For the children to be able to understand this you need to do alot of drilling. I started off by using chocolate bars(to grab their attention) and counted them out- 1,2,3,4,5. There are five chocolate bars. how many bars are there? and so on asking the class as a whole first and then asking individuals. You could also use a puppet. Then just use other examples and ask how many are there. Then take one object away and ask how many are there now etc. Keep it really simple and have lots of repitition. Hope this helps :)
Hello!
First of all, don't panic, three days is a long time to complete this and you've got so far already!
You haven't gone in to too much detail here about what you've already tried and the feedback you've been given which would be good to know. It would be really helpful if you could just add a few more details to this so that people don't suggest some help that you've already had from a tutor.
Also, have you contacted the TEFL Helpdesk yet about this? You can reach them on helpdesk@tefl-training.com but it might be better to call today as they don't open at the weekends? I recommend you give them a call on +44 (0)113 205 4620 as soon as you can to see what they can do to help perhaps?
Good luck with it all,
Katie
