Hi. So, I'm really interested in the idea of teaching English abroad but there's a couple of things I've been wondering and was hoping someone could help me.
I know that you need a degree to work in a lot of countries and I have an ordinary bachelor's degree (from a 3 year course) and was wondering if that would be excepted or does it need to be an honour's degree? Also, what tefl course is required by most schools? I'd be looking to work in South Korea and was wondering if the 100 or 120 hour online courses would be enough?
Thanks for any help you can give me. :) |

Hey, Sorry, I never saw your question or I would have replied. I should think that it will be fine as long as it is a BA or BSc... but I'm not totally sure! I would advise that you ask someone official, but I doubt they would know, as questions like that, in my experience, tend to have a different answer depending on who you speak to. As for the course, 100-120 hours would be enough for Korea :) Lots of people out here don't have the course, so it'll give you a nice advantage. If you are looking at public school, then it will also boost your wages. Hope that helps :) |
