Hello! I am going to graduate in Decemeber with an education degree.  I want to teach abroad in Euope I know it is close to impossible for an American to get a working visa. But, I want to try/ was wondering if anyone had any iput or knows of anyone who is American teaching abroad in Europe! Thanks :)

There are actually a couple of programmes which would allow you to work legally in Europe for a fixed period of time.

First up is the North American Language and Culture Assistants programme (for which you have just missed the closing date for the forthcoming academic year) which would enable you to teach in Spain. There's also the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship programme (http://us.fulbrightonline.org/overview.html), which places candidates in 135 countries around the world. Of greater interest is the fact that there are placements in almost every country in Europe, although be advised that to teach in certain countries, such as France and Germany among others, you will need to be proficient in their language.
