Hello all, I've recently applied for my E-2 visa and have been waiting for the past 2 weeks to receive it from the Korean consulate in London. Has anyone else applied for a visa from this consulate and, if so, how long did it take for them to send it? I've called the consulate and they told me that they have processed it, so just wondering how long it takes to get it.
thanks! |

Hi, yes, I'm British. If you do not hold a passport from one of the "English speaking" countries (I put that in speach marks as I recognise there are more than 7) then you are not eligible for the E visa. You need to either hold a passport of have completed I think it's 10 years of education in an "English speaking country" before the age of 18 to qualify. The passports accepted are British, Irish, South African, Canadian, American, Australian and New Zealand. Sorry, this probably isn't what you wanted to hear. If you have Korean blood there are F visas which are open to you. |
