How do I win?

You need to upload your video, then get enough votes to make it into the final round. Once you're in the final round you'll need to impress our panel of expert judges!

Do I need to be a professional cinematographer?

Absolutely not! We love things that are a little rough around the edges, so don't worry if your video isn't oscar-worthy.

How long does my video have to be?

Well, it's a day in your life, so we'd say it needs to be a little bit longer than 30 seconds, but you probably want to keep it below 10 minutes, otherwise it risks being rejected by YouTube.

How do my friends/family/students vote for my video?

Send them the link to your video. They then need to scroll down to the bottom where the stars are. They then click the fifth star to vote.

The stars aren’t showing up – what’s going on?

Javascript isn’t working in your browser. Make sure you’re using the most up-to-date copy of your browser and try again. Javascript doesn’t work at all in Internet Explorer 7 (blame Bill Gates). We’d recommend using either Firefox of Google Chrome.

The stars are there but it doesn’t look like my vote’s been added

You’re using Internet Explorer 7 – your vote’s been added but you won’t have been able to see the stars. Again, blame Bill Gates…
