First class jitters!

As I'm not planning on moving to China to teach for another few years, I want to gain experience whilst living in the UK, so I've offered my services voluntarily to a local support group. I have my first lesson next Monday and I'm panicking now! Unfortunately I have no idea how many I will be teaching, what ages, abilities and what they would like to gain from my teaching! It will definitely be a...

Teaching TEFL In London

Hello All,  I am totally new to chalkboard (freshly baked today!) and may be posting in the wrong place entirely. I am signed up to a 40 hour TEFL course with i to i and once I have the qualification it may be a while before I am able to teach abroad. In the meantime I was hoping to teach English in London for a while.  Suggestions so far have included getting in touch with...

Have almost completed the 60 hr main course though and I’m attending the weekend seminar in Bournemouth shortly ; o ) . Recently when I contacted several local language schools for some work experience, I was asked, was my course either CELTA or Trinity accredited? When I stated it was a distance learning...

Rejected. What do I do now?

So I got a letter from Interac saying that they're not inviting me to any interviews...   Basically, the only reason why I went about trying to get a TEFL certificate in i-to-i has just turned around and told me they don't want me.   What do I do now? I don't know if I'm able to finish the TEFL course, if the Interac company just turned my application down. I'm up a creek without...
