Hi! I'm a non-native English speaker and I have been thinking of getting into TEFL for too long now...it's time to act! I would like to get a TEFL qualification and go work in Asia (probably China as I have lots of friends there), but I am not sure how open those countries are with non-native English speakers...? My English level is fluent , once there I would also like to teach French (that's my native language) if there's a need. What type of TEFL qualification would help me compensate (at least on paper) the fact that English is not my mother tongue? I would prefer having some face-to-face training (not just online) as I don't really have teaching experience. Once I've got my TEFL qualification, how difficult/easy is it to find a decently paid job? Any non-native speaker who has experienced this, please let me know and share your experience!! Thanks!
