Hey everyone, just wondering if you guys are following the blogs and comments of the guys out in China at the moment?
There are still 10-15 people at the hotel without placements, Dave is now back there as well as his placement move has vanished, Stacy & Gaz are both in the middle of no-where and feeling very lonely but then again Roz seems to be loving it and we haven't really heard from anyone else...
You think those people who haven't been chatting on here are too busy having fun? ;) This putting anyone off at all? Just wondering what everyone's thoughts on the matter are. i-to-i and TTC? seem to be doing their best to help everyone out (160 interns in total) which gives me hope and it has actually only been a couple weeks. I have faith it will work out for most people.
Anyone know if these are teething problems or has this been happening every time or the last xx years? |

Hey Leon,
I can totally understand your concerns. This is the second round of internships, but the first time we've experienced any of the issues that are happening this time round. On the first round of internships (Aug 09) there were 50 interns, but this time round there are 118. Placing a larger number of interns has proved challenging as we've had schools drop out at the last minute, change their minds etc.
As a result there are currently a handful of i-to-i interns still waiting for placements in Beijing, and those who are unhappy with their placements are in the process of being moved. Both TTC and the guys in our customer support team here are working incredibly hard and we are confident that it will be fixed - it just takes time!
Needless to say a lot of work is going on, both here in the UK and in China, to ensure that come August no one will be placed by themselves (unless they want to be of course!) and that the issues experienced by some of this intake's interns will not be repeated.
On a lighter note you might want to take a read of these - it's not just Rozel having a good time out there!

Glad you have faith it'll work out, as we do too! However, if you have any other concerns just give us a shout (either on here or via courses.teamuk@i-to-i.com) and again if there are any China interns out there who are unhappy but haven't told anyone yet, please, please get in touch - your feedback is invaluable to make the China internship the best experience it can be for everyone - and there's always options if you're not happy where you are. |
