Hello! I am going to volunteer at Vaughn Town in Northern Spain in June and wanted to try to stay for the summer and work. Any recommendations on how to find a job in Madrid or Southern Spain...Malaga or Cadiz? I'm a US citizen without a EU passport.  I hope to work at a Summer Camp as an English as a Second Language Teacher (ESL) or teaching Business English at a company. I'm aso open to tutoring kids.  I have experience working as an ESL for 4 years abroad and a degree in Education. I hope this helps getting a good job!

Thanks for your comments!  Maureen

Hi there,

You might want to try and see how volunteering at Vaughn goes, as sometimes they'll offer permenant positions to people who impress them. It's also worth getting in touch with this girl, who's orginially from Chicago and is now teaching in Spain, as she'll be able to help you with advice from a specifically American point of view:

Good luck and make sure you let us know how you get on!
