job aquired!

After a whole load of worry, I've got the job I wanted!   I'll be near, but not in, Sevilla and working for a respected academy with lots of training opportunities and great facilities.  I feel great about it at the moment, I'm trying not to have expectations too high; I'm prone to unwarranted optimism!  Anyway, fingers crossed.....

Be Recruited with my family

I would love to find a job related to teaching children, but I'm concerned upon finding a job which would also accept me moving in with my child and eventually my husband. My formation is the following: Degree in U.K. in European Literature and comparative studies with French, a Portuguese trainers diploma and a Portuguese Ministry of Education diploma for teaching English to kids from five to eight years old. Second term, done!

As March draws to a close, bringing with it the end of the second term, it’s time for another update…This month has been less about teaching and more about testing, with my FCE students being first in the line of fire. The mock exams started at the end of February and continued through March. The end result was that 14 of my 16 students passed, although two of them just barely scraped by. Based on...

Working in Prague

Hello, I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer on working & choosing CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL in Czech Republic for 2013/14.  I have completed a 130 hour online course last year and have worked for Berlitz in Barcelona - mostly teaching Business English - for 6 months after participating on a couple of Spanish summer schools in 2012.   I'm keen to get a CELTA or Trinity & maybe trying to work in ...

Business English Teachers!

Calling all Business English Teachers! We're being a bit nosy today and wondering how you're all getting on...so we've got a few questions to ask Business English teachers and also teachers to professionals!  What advice would you give to someone starting out in the field? How is teaching Business English different to teaching in a school/academy? What obstacles have you overcome and how? How do you keep lessons fun? How did you market yourself?  We're...
