I have 5 years elementary teaching experience and a masters in education. In addition, I have over 15 years human services administration and 5 years experience in information technology in the private sector. I'm interested in teaching in South or Latin America or Europe. Is TESOL or TEFL essential? What are the REALISTIC chances of finding a position as a teacher of English in any of these areas? Are there still opportunities in Europe? If not Western Europe, what about the east (like Romania?).
