Im hoping to connect with some people who are doing the Polish internship in the new year!!! Im from Toronto Canada and i am going to complete my TEFL training just weeks before leaving. I am kind of nervous as I have never done something like this. If anyone has advice I would love to hear it. I also want to hear about where other people are coming from for this internship.

I have applied for the polish internship too. I'm from the UK and I'm just waiting for my references to be checked and things. Hopefully I will be going out in Feb. I'm also still doing my TEFL training... I'm hoping to finish in the beginning of January! I know what you mean about feeling nervous and everything seems to be happening all at once. 

Maybe we will be seeing each other in Poland soon!

I'm also going on the Poland internship, what date do you start? I'm going out on the 31st of Jan and I'm really looking forward to it. I don't know if you've been to Poland before but I've been a few times and it's great out there and has everything you'd need, plus the food is really cheap. I also only started the training recently, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'm from the UK as well, London to be exact, so I hope the students can understand my accent!

Im starting the 27th of Feb and havent heard back as to whether i have the job for sure or not yet. hopefully i will know soon!

I've had the 27th Feb confirmed for me so will be coming out later - you guys can let us know how it's all going! Sounds like we're all in the same boat training wise.

I am still completing my TEFL course but thinking about doing the internship either in September or in the new year ... can't decide still!! How did you guys decide on where to go? Is Poland just somewhere you always thought about or was it the internship opportunity that sold it?

@Christina: I personally chose to do the internship at Poland because of Poland and the internship opportunity. But there are lots of other places to go to around the world.

I am starting the Internship on the 12th of Sept also. I'm Irish.

Looking forward to it but also a little nervous.

I chose Poland more or less because of the Internship offer but also because I've travelled around alot of Europe but Poland is one place I haven't yet been to.

Every place is an adventure anyway so I wouldn't worry too much about your destination!!!! :)

Ditto! I'm really nervous! I've never been to Europe, so looking forward to Poland and all of Europe.

I'm feeling nervous about the internship... I have my interview tomorrow, if I get it I'll be going in a few weeks .... scary!

I've heard good things about Poland, i've Polish friends here in the UK who've given me advice and the internship seems to give lots of support adjusting to life there.

Nervous about it as I REALLY hope I get it!!! The internship is a great opportunity to start teaching so hopefully I will be jetting off on Sept 12th!! Saying bye-bye to jobless Ireland :-)

Hi Alison,

The interview went well. They will test your grammar understanding but it's not too complicated. I went blank a few times but they prompted me and it was fine. I'm sure you'll be ok.

I was planning to go on August 15th but that start date's been shifted to 29th August now. Only thing to worry about now are my references, probably worth you thinking ahead for that.

Hello! I'm going to Poland on the 12th September - really excited. Has anyone been told which city they'll be in yet?  I've been to Krakow before and loved it so I'd quite like to go back but also want to explore other places too!

So I'll definitely be going to Poland, I start on the 29th August.

I don't know Poland at all but am very much looking forward to getting to know it. I'm not too bothered if I end up in a smaller city, but i will be spending a few days in Krakow before I start my contract.

Hey Alison. Did you have your interview yet?? They just ask about the grammer and then they asked me to describe 5 words and how i would use them in a sentence. nothing over complicated. Waiting for my references to be checked and hopefully onto Poland on the 12th of Sept :-)

Circumstances have changed for me, but apparently there's one in January, so I might go for that one instead. But i'm unsure at the moment. Let me know how it all goes for you and of course everyone else here! Would love to know if its worthwhile going or not. At the moment i'm have second thoughts about doing an internship, i'm leaning towards doing it alone. So it would be lovely to know how you all go with it in Poland. Keep in touch guys!

Hi guys I applied for the Poland internship for September (round about now actually) but I unfortunately didnt get it.

Adrianen you said you were going in Feburary? How many interships are actually available? I would really like to apply again once I finish my TEFL course!

I am an Australian of Polish decent who has been there once before in 2005 - it has a rich history, full of culture, stacks of food, old buildings, churches, and people who love to drink lol! I am not sure what it would be like to live there, as I stayed with family for the duration of my two weeks, but I'm sure it would be awesome! 

Nosilamae, would you know where abouts I could find more out about the Janurary Poland internship? May I ask how you heard of it?
