Heya - Am heading out to Thailand on 6th Jan 2011. Got a degree and will soon have my TEFL certificate. I was planning on finding work once there - and a place to live. This will be my first time teaching anywhere! Anyone else heading out around that time? Or has anyone made a similar move recently?? Would be good to chat to others in the same boat. cheers, Dave |

Hey man, I'm heading to Thailand January 27. I plan on working in Bangkok as I have three other friends living there (non-teachers). Some good websites that my friends recommended are thaivisa.com and teakdoor.com, they are kind of the hubs of the expat community, and should help you with work and apartment etc (or at least be a starting point). All the best mate! |

Hi guys. I am arriving at Bangkok on 25th January and have arranged a voluntary TEFL placement for up to 12 weeks. Don't know where I'll be working until I'm met at the airport but have requested southern Thailand!! Hope to find paid employment in either Thailand or Indonesia after that.... Marian |

Hey Guys, I am hoping to be arriving in Bangkok at the end of January as well. I am currently discussing a job with the principal at a school near there. I dont know anyone, so if anyone wants to get together to meet some people that would be great. I could ask the principal once I get there if she needs any other teachers, if people are still looking for a job - happy to help out if I can :) Cheers, Lauren |
