Hey, my partner and I are traveling to thailand on the 20th of Jan. We'v completed the tefl course and hope to get some work teaching after we have done a little traveling around. What do we need to do about visa's? i read that a 30 day visa is granted on arrival, but we are planning to stay, find work and stay long term. We do not have a travel ticket to exit thailand, how will this affect us on arrival? Im irish my partner is South African.

Hi, I got a non-immigrant category B working visa for multiple entry into thailand. I'd secured a job with Teacha Language School, & they provided all the necessary paperwork that the Thai consul need to see (didn't seem to matter that i haven't actually been confirmed a job in any school yet). So try contacting Teacha Language School (i went to them through teachtotravel), or AYC. They will both arrange an interview & if successful they will help you through the visa process.
