Hi there my name is Tina, I am from N.I. and doing the 140 hr course, at the minute I am doing the specialised modules, finished and passed two so far and the long grammar ection, and have done the two day on site training course which was in Belfast. The course was excellent, small in numbers and though intensive it was very informative and fun at times, made nice friends, and a good insight into what will be expected from me as teacher even though I did tefl teaching a long no of years ago. What stage are you at ? Are you enjoying the course, and when is your on site course. I would reccommend that you have a good part of the grammar section completed as you will need to have some basics to be able to partake fully and learn from the course. Anyhow if you have any questions contact me no problem, and enjoy. Tina

Hi Ruth, greetings from a cold and windy Spain. Not much better than Dublin here at the moment. It took me a long time to find the group, I was doing a search and could not find it but I perservered and got it at last. Hope I can find it again. I see none of the others are on here yet? I wonder if they found it difficult to find it also. How are you since the weekend. I dont know how far into the course you were, or are you finished now? Let me know how you get on. I am going back to eire next week and will be putting up some posters in Tralee to hopefully get a few takers. I am also going to volunteer at a free language school in tralee to get some hands on experience and also to give back something as I have been blest in my life. Good luck and best regards Patricia |

Hey Patricia! I sometimes find it hard myself to find what I'm looking for on Chalkboard. I find it's not extremely user-friendly, or else I'm just not used to the way these type of boards/forums work. I always go to view my own profile and manage to find things from there. I'm still on Checkpoint 4 at the moment. I've been a bit busy since the weekend course, but I'm getting stuck back into it now. I've a lot of stuff to get through before 13May (when I'm supposed to finish it) - I can't afford an extension. I hope you're managing it all okay. Good luck! Ruth |
