hey everyone! i have spoken to i to i and they said that the deadline to complete the TEFL course for the china internship in august is on the 22nd of July. I have just sent of my final assessments for grading and i should be finished by this weekend! but ive just been reading around and it seems like a lot of people have already finished their courses and they're a lot more on track then i am! just wanted to ask... will this mean that there will be less chance of me being accepted onto the program? am i leaving obtaining the visa invitation and z-visa too late? when do you think i will be able to book flights? when will i have a phone interview etc or contact with the contacts in china? If anyone could help me answer these few questions i have it would help to clear things up for me and stop me panicking (for no reason hopefully)! Cheers guys! |

Hi.
Have you not received your pre-acceptance e-mail yet? If so then your on the program. I contacted a girl in China from i to i who said we will get our Invitation letters 3-4 weeks before departure so dont worry too much about that, we seem to be in the same boat. I have already booked my flights as i figured if anything was to go wrong i will just have to pay to change the destinations and dates. I know they say you shouldnt book them till you get your Visa but the flights will be amazingly expensive by then. i havent had a phone interview and i dont think many do. A friend of mine who is in China now (Feb internship) didnt get a call either. So again i wouldnt worry too much about that. Once you got your pre-acceptance e-mail or letter then you should be fine.
Getting your Visa is totally out of your hands now until you receive the Invitation letter. If you have any questions you should ask Elaine Kirton she is on Chalboard and is our rep.
Hope i've helped a little.
Maybe see you in Beijing \;0 |
