Hi everyone, my name is Isha and I'm thinking doing this internship!! I have read alot of posts and I am getting more and more convinced everyone I come on the sites. Slightly nervous about the whole thing, as il be packing in my job and my whole life, house, possessions etc. So jus have a couple of questions to ask, 1# Would it work out cheaper for me to the 140hr course then separately join this extension like some people have done? would it work out a similar price? And 2# If I'm really that bad at the course that I fail, do I still have to pay?? Thanks :) |

Has anybody had any feedback from TTC yet? I applied a month ago and still haven't heard anything. I took it upon myself to email them just to ask if they received my application and got no reply. I also rang i-to-i yesterday to see if there was any way they could help. The girl said she would check and ring me back but they have not contacted me either! I'm starting to get just the tiniest bit annoyed now because all I want is some feedback and I can't get any! I mean, If I haven't been accepted then that's fair enough but I would at least like to be told that so I can figure out what to do next! Is anybody having similar problems? |

Hey Louise, I heard that they are busy with the August arrivals so they will get back to us about our applications by September :) I'm sure you'll be fine. Jemimah :) |

Was anybody else thinking of vietnam? or have any advice or maybe know of differences between the two internships that might help me make up my mind? I would appreciate any little tips :) |

Hi guys, I'm thinking of possibly doing this internship as well, just got to decide for once and all which one I want to do! I've been debating it for a while now, as I have a full time job and dont want to chuck it away for no reason. If anybody has been before or has any advice or tips for me as a newbie to all this, please do get in touch! Hopefully might join you guys in feb :) |

Heyyy, When deciding on anything major and life changing i usually draw up a list of costs and benefits, i did it for this and it really helped at put things into perspective for me. I thought about things such as homesickness, money and costs of everything altogether, leaving friends and family and long term benefits such as job competitiveness in the future, improving on my language skills and things such as gaining personal gratification, confidence and team working skills Do it and see if it works. I hope this has helped! :D |
|
|
All booked up! :D Now to put 'project save like ****' into action and get my application sent off! |

Hey guys! I did the January 2012 Internship and am staying in Beijing now for another year! It's awesome here, you guys are in for a treat! If any of you want to head out to Beijing early, I can recommend staying at the place some of us stayed in January called the Candy Inn (also called 1 Hai Inn), which is right next door to the Lama Temple. You can book dorms or private rooms on www.hostelworld.com or by emailing them direct on bj1haiinn@163.com. It's a great little place, cheap and cheerful. And it's surrounded by hutongs and traditional restaurants and BBQs. I definitely recommend coming out early for Chinese New Year - it's amazing. If you have any questions about the internship or Beijing or teaching or anything, feel free to add me on here or on facebook (my name's Loren Whyatt). Loren x |
