Hey guys! We checked with our advisors and there are quite a few spots on this internship. Think the August & Jan Internships were confused in this discussion maybe? By all means, book your spot as these placements are going like hotcakes BUT there are not only 16 spots :) I believe the lovely Chubbycharlie has been informed of this as well.

I was just wondering how many places ARE there?

Both my friend and I are interested in going, but it will take us some time to get the money and we would really hate to miss out on this oppurtunity.

I will be booking this ASAP! I have put my car up for sale in order to be able to afford it, so as soon as it's sold, I'll be ringing up to book! Hopefully it won't take too long, because I am set on doig this.

It costs £1,295 for the internship, including the online course. You have to pay for your flights on top of that as well. I thought it was expensive and was considering doing the 140 hour combined course and then finding a job in China myself, but I think for the support from i-to-i and being with a group of other interns it's well worth it.

Well, I booked it all last night! EXTREMELY excited! Just waiting for my course information to come through so I can crack on with it! If anyone's going to be flying from Manchester, let me know. I would like a flight companion!

teres myself and two of my friends comming with me and we will have to raise 2500 each in total to go. 400 saving money, 250 visa, 1300 for the internship, 400 for a flight. its alot for us to earn in that amount of time and we need it raising by decemeber and take the course by the 16th. it seems impossible though weve been told we can fund raise to help its 2500 each for us x

This placement sounds really good, but I have never thought about going to china before.  I always thought china was really really busy and cram packed and I am not sure about putting things I want to do on hold as I am 25, is that too old to do it?

Is it worth doing it? Can anyone tell me.

25 too old.. Is that a joke or something?

Congrats on booking, and no, you can't fundraise your trip to china.. Whoever told you that is retarded.

What places are you placed in? I can't decide if I want to do this or look for a job on my own.

I'm really keen on the internship in January 2012 but worried about cost.  I'm already in the process of completing my 140 hour TEFL and can just about manage to find the money to book the internship.  Does anyone know how much money I'll need for visas, flights and the first month or so in China?  I worked it out to be about £1300 - Does that sound about right?  That's including the RMB2400 visa cost once there.  I'll be flying from London.  I just don't want to book the internship and then not be able to raise the funds to actually get there.  Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance!

Hello people..

Thinking about joining the internship but not sure how an elder statesman such as myself would go with this.   Id be happy to hear of any other people who are 50+ who have taken an internship in China.

Tks

David

I'd say 1300 was spot on for visa flights and spending money for a month yeah. People need to realise that going to beijing for 2 weeks with accommodation food and things to do every day included would probably work out the price of the internship in itself, and 5 months worth of pay would mean you made the money back anyway! even though you do have to live on it. I'm 18 and is desperate for people to contact me if they've booked there place because im so bloody nervous, looks like me and 'nerolfuzz' are the only ones going so far! I'm also interested to know what age group is the majority on these trips, anybody know? or is it a fairly spread out mixture of ages?

Hi guys, Ive signed up for the internship and have just sent off my details. Im excited but trying not to think about it too much until I know my application has been sucessful. Im interested to find out what people have been putting as their preferred region? Anyway, ive got the 120 hour course to keep my mind occupied for the time being.

Hey all! I just signed up for the internship today and am sooo excited! I can't wait to meet my fellow interns and create some amazing memories. I am a bit nervous but I'm trusting that it will all work out fine. Is anyone from the U.S. by chance, particulary the Midwest?
