Hey, I will be on the China internship course starting in August, and I wondered if anyone has any advice on what kind of luggage I should use. I am aware that the FAQ has written that less is more and advises that a backpack would be best, but I feel that as I am staying for five months, I should perhaps use something more substantial such as a suitcase.
So, after this long rambling post, I am wondering if you have any experience on what the best route to take is regarding long term travel.
All the best!

'Less is more' is actually true. In August many places, including Beijing, are hot and humid. It's easy and cheap to buy more clothes if you need them.
Incidentally I'll see you in Beijing during orientation!
