So I'm thinking of doing the 120hr course, then applying for work in China for hopefully a yr or 2. Not sure if I really wish to work with kids, but that is a topic for another day. Potentially I might get a great reward from this, I mean more than what I am anticipating to gain, which brings me to my actual question. After completing the 120hr cuourse, working for 2yrs I'd like to stay on and further my studies. Would this be possible, has anyone done their BA whilst working abroad still? Has it been possible to do a distant learning course that far from the U.K.? Come one, come all and help! |

Well there is always online course. Some require you to show up for exams, though. And there is the fact tht you may not have reliable internet where you teach. What if you are in the middle of a test and there is a power shortage? I'm going to a two year comminity college and completeing it in one year. then teaching abroad for a year. then coming back to finish my two years at a local university. and of course after I will go back teaching abroad. |

Hey Vicki, I didn't even think of the whole internet usage thing! I just take it for granted that I'll be able to be somewhere that will have those available. Hmmm, i guess right now I might be trying to walk before i can actually crawl, let's maybe see how i do on the course and then actually teaching, but thanks for giving me something else to think about :) |
