I've been offered an interview at a language school and the salary is 13-14000 RMB/month in Shanghai. Can anyone tell me if this is good? Also, how much would a decent apartment cost in Shanghai? Thanks! |

If you work in Shanghai ,this salery is OK.You'd better ask the school to offer you a apartment. As far as i know, the apartment is really expensive. |

agree with the above, make sure you get a free apartment too, or a decent allowance for one. |

Hi, is it a school or a training center, it seems a lot for a school and most schools offer accomodation and food. The hours at training centers are often a lot longer (and evenings and week ends) than schools and not so much time off either. I would ask lots of questions regarding actually working hours (teaching) and office hours (planning etc). It depends on what you want. I work in a school in China and am loving it. Let me know if you want more info. good luck |

the highest I have ever saw was 16,000 but that one wanted a minimun 2 years experience. btw, I am trying to get a better understanding of what is being offered for what kind of experience, out there... and was wondering, what are your general credentials ie. are you a new student, or with previous teaching experience, etc... thanks |

13000 - 14000 is a pretty high offer For me with no experience and no uni degree I have been offered between 5000 to 8500. Just read the interact and ask plenty of questions. If hour happy with the working agreement then it is good. Accomadation could probably set you back around 2000 a month.
I've recently been applying for a lot of jobs in China, there are plenty so just choose the one you like. |
