My partner and myself have managed to get work in china and are currently waiting for out letters of invite for our 'Z' visa's. This seems to be taking quite a while and as we are due to start work in March we are eager to book our flights. As newbies we aren't sure if we can do this before we have applied for our visa's......... any ideas/advise???

I am headed to China to start a position that begins in February. I purchased my ticket before applying for my Z visa. I think if you feel you can trust the school to send you the invitation letter or you have signed a contract it should be safe to buy your tickets ahead of time. You are able to buy the tickets before obtaining your Work Visa.

I'd probably say theres no rush in getting your flight tickets as they usually tend to stay at a similar price etc so there might not be much harm in waiting! Although ive spotted you posted this end of dec, so hopefully you have it sorted now! Can i ask if you and your partner found it easy to find work together or nearby? Its just me and my partner are planning on doing the same thing and are struggling to find places that employ couples or how to look for jobs that are near by each other! Did you go through an agency? I bet you cant wait to start work now, March is really soon!!
