Hello my name is Calvin and i am quite adamant on going to China in August 2011 for that internship or maybe even just working there directly without the internship. Regardless of the choice I think it would be alot better for me to do this with someone i know. I imagine many people here who are doing the online training probably don't know anyone else who is doing this as well as though who have already gone wished they knew someone earlier there to ease thier minds about who they maybe rooming with.

But anyways i am looking to make friends on here. I just started the 40 Hour online certification (slowly upgrading) I just thought I stop by on here to say hello and hope to get to know anyone else who plans on going around the same time i am or get some advice. Nice to  meet you all

Gday Calvin, my name is Christopher 37yo and live in  Melbourne, Australia. I have booked and paid for the August 2011 Internship in China and am already well into my TEFL course. I'm looking for a change in my life and want to work and travell (hopefully). I definately understand your feelings regarding knowing someone and am happy to become a friend of yours and chat about stuff. I've travelled on my own before through SE Asia and it was amazing!!! I'm still pretty nervous about this decision but there the times when u discover the most about who you are....thats why I'm doing it.

So if meeting someone before hand helps you make up you mind then I'm happy to oblidge and I also would like to have contact with a familar face prior to going and hopefully bunk together or be close by.

I was also thinking about joining the August internship, but am a bit unsure because I don't know anyone there, and am afraid of being all alone! Like others have said, it would be great to have a familiar face if I do go.

I started my 140hr course last week, and I would love to have a friend here who I can exchange tips and concerns with!

I have signed up for the August internship too. Just about to email back my application documents. I am in the (fortunate!) position of having already completed 100 hours last year, so I only have 20 more hours to do which takes the pressure off a bit.

I am so bored of doing my 9-5 job, and thought new year, new adventure (providing I get accepted!)

@stevebudd - ahahahaha very true. after reading about so many people going on the internship...I think I'm going to do it now. I'm just gonna wait til Monday to sign up. Just need to make sure I talk it over with my family one last final time. They seemed supporting when I first told them, but at that time, I only said I was 'thinking about it'.

Hello fellow wanna be teachers,my name is john.i am going to China in April. The 5th to be precise.My intention is to settle. I dont have any teaching experiance,not in schools.
