So I was wondering how many things you folk had to buy when you first arrived in China in your new place. Sure some have it better than others, but you all must have a few things you just had to go out and buy asap. Anything?

I figure on my list it wil be clothes and pillows. But then I haven't really put much thought into it.

My school provided most things.. new bedding etc. There was limited cleaning products.. so yea, cleaning products, washing powder, toilet roll, shower gel and so on.

Like Rin, my school provided most things including new bedding. Cleaning items were top of my list. Also toilet paper, washing powder, toiletries and a few basic food items. No great expense here.
