I have already submitted one assignment and I am now on my second attempt. I am stuck with question 10 as when I originally answered the question about what I thought about the lesson I have got this wrong. Can anyone give me a few pointers?? |

Write about 200 words on what you thought about the lesson. How effective was the teacher’s use of a context to teach a new grammatical structure? Was the lesson a success? Why/why not? How did the teacher personalise the lesson? Was there a good balance of presentation, practice and production? First of all what is context? It's really asking what narrative or framework did he use to get his point across and explain the meaning of the 'used to + verb' structure. What context did he open the lesson with, a persons life perhaps?? Second point is was it a success and why? Well did the students get the meaning of the lesson by the end?? Do you think by the end they could follow the narrative of the context with the flash cards he used?? Explain how he got them to do that. How did he personalise the lesson??, did he perhaps elicit examples from the students of the 'used to' in their own lives? Presentation, Practice & Production, Just follow the video and see how he moves from the opening section (Presentation) to the Practice (Controlled) and more freestyle towards the end involving perhaps pair or group work?? |
