Hi guys, im really stuck here and im on my last attempt and only 4 days left. Can someone please give me some adfvice?
Now write a lesson plan for a 45-minute-long lesson on the chosen topic in the space provided below. Click here to remind yourself of the model structure for a lesson plan. To pass this task, make sure each stage of your plan includes an activity description, the type of interaction, and the timing. For example: 1. Warmer. Play pictionary using the words taught in the previous lesson. S-S 5 minutes
1. Warmer. Q&A in pairs about their weekend (S-S 5 mins)
2. Lead-in. Elicit/present hobbies using mine, flashcards or pictures. Example, horseriding, rock climbing etc. (T-S 5mins)
3. Drilling. Drill new vocabulary with the class checking pronunciation. (T-S 2 mins)
4. Check understanding. (t-s 1 min)
4. Presentation. (T-s 5 mins) Elicit hobbies using flashcards and mine. Example 'I like football' (S-T 5 mins)
5. Drilling. (t-s 3 mins) Drill new vocabulary checking pronunciation and having students mine the actions of the hobbies to instill the new words. (T-S 3 mins)
6. Presentation. (t-s 7 mins) Present/elicit sentences 'I like rock-climbing The negative 'I dont like tennis.' Question 'What do you like to do'. (S-T 6mins)
7. Controlled practice. (s-s 7 mins) Pair work. Students ask and answer each others questions about their hobbies. Example, 'What do you like to do?', ans. 'I like to play tennis'
8. Plenary. (s-t 3 mins) Write target language on the board and have students correct errors that were over heard during the practice activity. (T-S 5mins)
9. Production. (s-s 10 mins) Gap fill exercise to be completed in pairs. students are given a work sheet in which they have to fill in the hobbies and adverbs of frequency e.g. 'Michael likes to play football _____ a week' or 'John plays ______ on Tuesdays'.
10. Correction. (s-s, t-s, 5 mins) Have students correct their work in pairs and then with the whole class.
11. Homework. (t-s 2 mins) Tell students to write a short paragraph about what they like to do in their spare time 50-75 words. (T-S 2mins)

Presentation –
1. What you really need to teach the individual names of different hobbies. Present each word individually, with flashcards, and drill it thoroughly, so that they remember its meaning and pronunciation. After that you put in short sentences like yours. YOu do not do negatives and question forms as that is assumed knowledge!
Controlled practice –As said before, this should be practising hobbies AND adverbs. Please explain exactly what you would do.
Production - Your activity is controlled practice. This must be how we would use it in real life, freer and more communicative. You should be doing a milling or find someone who here or a role play written by them using target language and assumed knowledge .
