Grammar Awareness Course Help

Hi all, I've just completed Exercise 25 (Primary Auxiliary Verbs) and have a dumb question re Q11: "I am interested in politics" which use a main verb, Vs Q10: "I have been learning Italian" which uses an auxiliary verb.
