Hi guys, im booked on it..just waiting for interview now. im part way through the 60 hour course and have my 20 hour teaching course in Newcastle in septembe. Im very excited and nervous at the same time :-)

Hi guys! This sounds really amazing, what a better place to teach than Vietnam! How did you guys go about applying? is the application process really daunting?

Still havnt made up my mnd between China and vetnam yet, the choice is so tough :) all very exciting :) hopeing to get the process rolling asap! how are ye guys finding the course?

Hi guys, it is pretty scary but also such an amazing opportunity!! I finished my course in March this year, some parts I found really difficult but it's still fun :) looking forward to getting out to Vietnam coz I still don't feel that prepared to teach an entire class of students!!

Hi keri and Angela....Well I've sent through all the documentation...now I'm just waiting to get the interview/acceptance letter...6 months is going to fly by! I can't wait either...it's going to be such an adventure! I went home for a mini break and just got back the other day so I've really got to get started on the course this weekend..I've been reading through the book and lesson plans I got which are definitely a bit daunting but I'm sure once I start I'll get into it. I think this will be the perfect way to build up the confidence...I bet after a few weeks there we'll feel like pro's!

I agree, I think this is a good way of getting more confident - we're not totally being thrown in the deep end! I need to book my flight but want to see if anyone is also thinking of booking the same one - so it's not as scary!! x

Just booked on! Where's everyone planning on applying to?

Hey all...I'm looking at doing either this or the Thailand internship, just need to decide which one...anyone know what the chances are of being able to stay on or find a job there after are? Or is anyone looking to travel after too? Already doing my tefl course and think this internship sounds less scary than just traveling alone or finding an online job first off... Steph

Not sure what the chances are for staying on after but there will probably be the opportunity to. I'm travelling after too :) and yes the internship seems much less scary!! Now you just have to decide between Thailand and Vietnam!! x

Keri, I'll look into booking flights a bit later on...maybe October/November time unless there are some amazing deals before then! I am keeping on eye on them! I'll go from London. I've only looked up a few flights to get idea on price but I see they had stops off in Dubai or Russia....I'm prefering Dubai! I saw on the forum page for the people who went out to vietnam this month that a few of them booked the same flights so they wouldn't be alone. It's a great idea! And absolutely less scary! I think after the internship everyone will be happy to travel onwards alone...or in groups..won't be so daunting... 

Steph: The girl I spoke with on i-to-i when I booked my place said there would be opportunities to stay on in vietnam...she said often the school will ask you to consider staying or you will know of other schools and can apply independantly. My plan would be to just see how it goes there and decide near the end of the internship but I do plan to traval onwards at somepoint after.

Hi guys...just finished Grammar awarness course and have my 20 hour teaching in Newcastle in a few weeks. im planning on trying to get a job after internship and hopefully travel too, i have been to vietnam before, its very safe and easy to travel around. im going to book my flights later and would recommend a stop over in Dubai. if you are planning to leave few days early as i am, you can also stop over in Dubai for day or to and catch some sun,The Premier Inn near airport is 60 quid a night but can sleep 4 people if you dont mind sharing. i have stopped there before and got my connecting flight the following day it gave me the chance to sleep and refresh before moving on. it had a nice roof top pool and some good restaurants.

Hi Rachel - yes that and whereabouts people are wanting to be based? Just trying to write my personal essay at the minute and finding it difficult to keep to 500 words!

Angela..I'm with you on stopping over in dubai...but like you I'll wait abit before booking....a friend of mine is due to move to Dubai shortly so I'll decide later if I'm going to try and go there for a few days before travelling on to vietnam...thats all provisional at the minute of course! 

Lucy, I gave my preference for teaching classes but haven't heard anything back yet on location.....I thought it was decided once we got there for the orientation week...I went over the 500 words on the essay! I'm sure it's not an issue once your not writing a few thousand words!!

I'm also (hopefully) going to Vietnam in Feb :). I have my Skype interview on Saturday so pretty nervous but  fingers crossed it will be fine!!! I'm so excited I already booked my flights, so if I don't get on the internship I'll be going travelling instead, not a bad thing but probably a bit scarier!!

I will be flying from London in Feb - will anyone else be? Also keen to join people for a stop over if the offer is there - might as well get the most out of it.

Hiya Kathy... yes i will be doing some travelling afterwards....and also looking for work too. i havent had my interview yet as i keep missing the times due to technical problems with my laptop and general work stuff..bur hope to get it sorted soon so i can book flights later in the year. if you are stopping over in Dubai let me know and we could all meet up.
