My 3 Day Bus Adventure

Written on 19th Nov 2010, taken from my blog: http://www.getjealous.com/getjealous.php?action=showdiaryentry&diary_id=1856069&go=bridgetkramer   So, because it was like $500 cheaper, and because I had the time, I decided to get a 3-day bus from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Lima, Peru. I scribbled down some things as it went along. You might be able to glimpse a little bit of insanity developing... 16/11/10 06:00PM Departing Retiro bus terminal, and two women and an elderly man have said a prayer to (for?) the...

Anyway, it's the morning of my 22nd birthday and I decided that it was the perfect time to start my brand new TEFL blog. Right, the basics about me - I'm 22 (it's still at that early time of day where it sounds weird to say it!), living near London back at home as I'm working a...

Job Hunting in Europe and South America

So, my partner and I have nearly finished our 140 Hour Course and are starting to apply for jobs. We both don't have degrees and we're finding Asia to be quite difficult and we aren't too interested in teaching in China just yet. So we've been looking at Ecuador and Czech Republic. These places look amazing! We're from Australia and understand it isn't impossible to work over there which is great. One problem: I'm 22...

Looking for TEFL work in Colombia

Hi guys,   I am quite new to TEFL having recently completed the 140-hour course and I have no practical teaching experience as yet.  I have just finished a 18 month trip where I travelled extensively around Europe, Asia and South America.  I'm short on cash but I am not quite ready to give up living abroad which is why I feel TEFL would be the perfect fit for what I want to do with...

Finally Done.

I have done it! I finally completed my TEFL course. It took me longer than I had expected, but that’s what happens when you move, get stuck without a computer or internet and then move back again. Some time wasted.   It was amazing to finally finish though, it's a great feeling. Relief mixed with a bit of anxiety and loads of excitement.  Now to find work.   Has anyone used their TEFL in South...
