So I'm sure I'm worrying about things all out of order, but I'm wondering what everyone did with their stuff while abroad? Yes, I'm a borderline candidate for those hoarder shows on cable TV right now so I know that I've got a ton of crap I simply need to get rid of. But especially with heading out the first time, it seems unrealistic and unwise to get rid of EVERYTHING. So where do you leave the stuff you might want to come back to? Storage lockers? Relatives? What?

Hi,
My mum recently emigrated temporarily and left a lot of her stuff in a big storage container - it's actually a good way to get rid of the junk you're hoarding as you end up having to ask yourself 'am I prepared to pay to store this for a year/two years'? Usually you'll find the answer's no!
If you've not got loads of stuff, you could always find a kind relative to leave it with?
