One Hurdle Down

Well, I've broken the ice. I've kind of tangentially mentioned that I'm thinking of teaching abroad to my kids and they seem mostly unbelieving that I'm serious though my youngest daughter seemed worried right away. My wife on the other hand was very enthusiastic. I think she may be even more glad to get rid of me than I suspected she would be.

Ecuador's great - you should chat to Alix, who's teaching there at the minute to get a flavor of what it's like: http://www.onlinetefl.com/tefl-chalkboard/alixm09

Best of luck with it all and if you have any questions get in touch :)

Well, I'm non-degreed so my options are fairly limited, right? My advisor seems to be pointing me specifically towards Ecuador or Indonesia. I'm pretty much open to anywhere that I can make enough to sustain myself though.

Congratulations on breaking the news to your family - it's so much easier to make the move if they're behind you! Where are you hoping to teach?
