I was stuck at the airport for about 4 hours. They switched and canceled by flight 3 times moved gates 4 times. It wasn't a pleasant experience. But i won't let that be my first thoughts of the city. I'd like to go back and visit it again when I have some time. As for Serbia.. I LOVE IT!! I love being among my Slavic heritage. It looks like I'll be teaching in Ukraine (just got the offer from a school there) and I can't wait. I'll have to leave my boyfriend here in Serbia while I'm working unfortunately but I'll be back from Christmas, Easter, and summer until I find work here in Belgrade.
Until then though, he and I will make the best of it all. :) My family is Ukrainian so I'm really excited about being among my ancestry!! I don't know much about the culture but I can't wait to learn.

I'm from the US originally but I currently live in Belgrade, Serbia. I was in Istanbul but not for long. Didn't get to leave the airport. I can imagine it's a beautiful city though.
