On the road again!

Well, here we go again, on the road back to Saudi Arabia to give it another go. The first trip there as you know, did not meet my expectations as an EFL teacher. Looking on the brighter side, at least now I am more familiar with what to expect and will have a few good ex collegues to sociolize with. 

This time round, I was recruited directly by the college rather than through a company running it . Well, I am not sure if that will work out better, but at I am thinking, surely it can't be worse than the one I worked for. Apparently, the person who manages EDEX( Education Experts) is now in a rehad center somewhere in Riyadh. He used to be the Dean of some university in the US but lost his job after being caught DUI twice in the same day. Obviously, it's most probably why he ended up looking for work in Saudi Arabia and now he ends up in a rehab center. I wrote more about the company in my previous post and as you can see, it was a disaster.

By the way, in both instances I have been successful in getting these jobs without a degree. My highest qualification is a Diploma in business studies although, I think having 10 years of teaching experience helps.

I am leaving at the end of August to start work on 4th of September. Is it going to be sweet or pain? Is there going to be fear or feel the strain? Who knows? What I know for sure is that I still have the will to pursue a new adventure.

With the help of i-to-i, I really have managed to spice up my life. They say that challenges are what make life interesting, overcoming them though is what makes life meaningful.
