About Me

Hello parents!
I am one of the chaperones for your son/daughter's trip to China and can't express how excited I am! I decided to start this blog to keep you parents updated on our everyday activities and even share some photos during the trip.
I have been teaching Chinese to both middle and high school students in Georgia for 6 years and have loved every moment of it. I have 2 kids all grown up and have been taking them on trips to China ever since they were one year old. China is a beautiful and diverse country with many learning opportunities and life experiences awaiting. I can guarantee that my best effort will be put forward to ensure your student has a safe and memorable experience!
Please email me at fanggail@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

Day 12

We had culture seminars in the morning learning about Chinese knots and ancient costumes. In the afternoon, we went to visit Tian An Men square and the Forbidden City. In the evening, we went to the famous silk street shopping. Our kids had a great time bargaining, most of them got good deals. Tomorrow will be our last day in China. We'll visit Beijing Zoo to see the pandas in the morning and see Temple...

Day 11

We went to climb the great wall this morning. It was very crowded there as always. To ensure safety, Our group was divided into two groups. Mr. Stephenson took care of those who wanted to climb to the top. I stayed with the kids who were more laid back. Please check MR.Stephenson's school blog for the update pictures. We both took different pictures and put on separate blogs, this way you could see more details...

I am so proud of my baby girl Danielle Kelly!!! She is having an experience which will broaden her ability to interact with other people and cultures and not just look at things from an American point of view.  Thanks All!!

FlightAware is a free app for iPad that lets you see the plane's progress. The kids are already over Arkansas! Delta and Air China are both available to track.

Thank you so much for making this available to us! It will be a great comfort to know what our kids are up to every day! I hope that Haven will focus on having fun, socializing with his new friends, and soaking up as much of the culture as he can. He will be so busy that he won't have time to think about home. Thanks for bridging that gap. I can't wait to read your posts.

Thanks for setting this up, Gail. We'll be looking forward to seeing you in Beijing. Don't be surprised if we all look pretty tired, though!
