Hi, I have been looking into teaching in Indonesia, but I have heard very mixed views about Jakarta? I was just wondering if anyone teaching there at the moment could give me an insight! Also into living costs how much you need a month to live! Thank you x

Hey, have you done your TEFL with i to i? If you have they have a free job placement service for Jakarta but the pay is £500 per month and worried that isnt enough as have never been to the country? I have really heard mixed views on the city and worried I wont like it! Also Dave's ESL cafe have quite a few indonesia placements available1 Definately check out that website x
I am also looking for a teaching post in jakarta. I have worked there as an engineer and holidayed there extensively and can recommend the place and the people.
