Im sorry i don't remember the name of the town she was placed in.  It was rural in central Thailand...not too far from Sukothai.  She was an assistant teacher in a Thai school there.  

I am hoping to work somewhere in Spain! and maybe later down the road in S. America :)

I am doing the TEFLBarcelona course in August.  After some research, I decided this would be the best way for me to learn to teach English because it is a really hands on, intensive course and online courses are really not recommended.  Downside is that it is pretty expensive, but hopefully I will be able to land a job!! 

I see you are looking in to Thailand.  There are lots of opportunities for teaching English there...really, Asia in general has better opportunities.    I have read it is way easier to find a job with an online certificate in Asian countries. A friend of mine just finished her peace corps service in Thailand and loved it!  I visited her and the country and people are absolutely beautiful!!  It definitely has more of a party atmosphere though. If you are interested in volunteering there, I have heard of lots of non-profits that provide aid for young people forced into prostitution.

Oh really i should defiantly research to see if age is an issue!  Thanks for all your help, its very sweet of you! Yes im looking into more volunteer work now, think t may bet better for me. From the guy ive been talking to who has been helping me decide what to do, says the minium is a 6 month contract which is a bit longer than what i thought, but that may suit you better.

Yes i finished school last year a took a gap year to travel :)
