sawatdee krub, Hi dont worry about travelling to Thailand yes the people are very freindly and many speak english so dont worry to much about learning Thai aswell just think about all the fun you are going to have :-) good luck.
Wow! Full respect to you for bravery - heading out to Thailand as your first adventure abroad takes some balls! You should be absolutely fine though - I've never heard anyone say a bad word about teaching in Thailand - students generally really like and respect their teachers and the people are incredibly friendly, so you'll be well looked-after.
Best of luck with learning Thai and make sure you keep us posted about how you get on when you touch down in eight weeks time!
8 weeks today I think, it's really scary, I haven't even been on a plane before and I am furiously trying to learn Thai.
