Bad luck!!!

So I have not been on here or anywhere for a while, I'd like to apologise profusely, however in my defense I was hit by a taxi who was curious to see what would happen if he hit a laowai with his taxi, as it happens exactly the same thing that happens to everyone else, and just to let you know it hurts.Basically after an epicly long day at work I had to get home...

I accept your challenge Katie!!!

So five things I love about China so far.... hmmmm.... My gorgeous girls I work with. A girl could not ask for a more loving, thoughtful and intellignt women to work with, I cannot emphasise enough how amazing they are. I have a genuine feeling of solidarity with my girls and if that's not love the gorgeous Kate, who is fabulous in nearly everyway, not only took me to the drugstore to buy painkillers the...

mixed emotions.

I’m rubbish, let’s start with that, I have not updated in 2 weeks and I ask forgiveness for my slovenly behaviour! A strange mix of emotions today, happy, sad, lonely, bit crazy, bored and hungover! China is a strangely familiar place, it feels western but twisted somehow,  like reality has torn and been mended, but not completely so you can still see the tear or feel it’s presence. Like I said it has been two weeks...

Thailand...

Why did you decide to start teaching English? I worked in England as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant and I knew I loved my job but I wanted to see the world and wanted to actually teach a class or two before I did a PGCE, and now I'm away I cannot imagine ever doing anything else! Did you do a TEFL course before you started teaching? I did my course with i-to-i before I left...

Brains, worms and eyeballs!!!

A very quick blog to say I have arrived, I would have posted earlier however wordpress is blocked here and I had to go in search of a workaround!!! China is HUGE!!! Ok I know stating the obvious but it still amazes me and it’s so clean! So far I have been dressed as a witch with a very sexy electric blue wig and black cape persuading small children to put their tiny little hands...

Keep breathing and don't be sick!

So the day has arrived, and no, the packing is still not complete, why does it not fit??? I hate packing, what I need is a lovely person (or fairy, troll, leprechaun, hell I'll take a mountain goat right now) to come and do it for me, any offers? I genuinely think my brain is going to implode, excited, terrified and starting to feel a bit sick quite frankly! But this time tomorrow I will have arrived at...

Finally set up a blog!!!

So I now have a proper/well another blog, one I hope I'll be able to access in China. The reason for this development is because people, my lovely and adorable ones at home and various other countries (we seem to be spreading) are worried about my rubbish contact skills so I have set up a blog and if you are interested in hearing my ramblings about soon to be China or any other places I...

The final countdown du-du-du-du-du-duuuu!!!

Right now, this minute, in a weeks time, I will be leaving my little town of Chachoengsao, Thailand for the airport on the cusp of a new adventure! Am I completely ready in the true meaning of the words 'complete' or even 'ready'? Uh no, at the moment my brain is making bizarre whirring putt putt putt noises and a delightful argh scream just to add to a truly daunting accapella. In response to this clearly manic...

One month to go (I'm not scared, honest!)

So yesterday was a most successful day, to anyone wondering about the Z visa for China, YES you do need a medical and there is a form and it's pretty intense as medicals go! ECGs and X-rays, proof that you dont have Syphillus, AIDS, Leprosy and some other horrid diseases that I would hope you would know if you had them before this stage in the application, and of course my favourite section, 'Pyschosis'! Do you suffer from...

long time no see

It's been crazy, to think I have been working in Chachoengsao, Thailand for a year and a half almost. What can I say? I love Thailand, everything about it in fact (except soi dogs, they still scare me!) Coming to Thailand was the best thing I ever did, the people are wonderful, the land is beautiful, the food is positively scrumptious (except chicken feet, still not a fan) and the teaching is so much fun...
