Hey I'm Sam,
I just graduated in Philosophy and Religion in the UK and I'll be taking a CELTA course this September and afterwards I will travel around India - my dream country* - for some months, maybe teach English voluntarily to get experience, though here comes the tricky bit: after I've had enough of travelling I want to go somewhere else to make more fortune in TEFL which I have been thinking will be either Japan, S Korea, or Thailand.
I'm not very certain at this point of where I would go to teach english or how I would go about it (either getting a job before hand or arriving at the country first then look for work) so I'm here to talk to people to hear of their teaching experiences abroad - particularly in this part of the world.

I wouldn't want to go home every night to an empty place but if you don't like the people you live with then that could be a problem!! Soo many things to look into! No I don't actually know anyone that has taught abroad ... I'm just trying to read about people's experiences on here! What do you do at the moment? :)
